A.A. SPEED TRAP WARNING ARM.


STOP!!! Study this photo. It shows the only known example of the Automobile Associations "Ball pole" warning system. Few people realise that the A.A.'s first primary function was protecting members from police speed trapping and prosecution. When the ball was raised it indicated a police speed trap was in operation in the section of road ahead. The ball and pole is totally original and unrestored.
